James Henry Finger, born October 6, 1946, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025. A loyal, supportive, loving, and hardworking family member and friend, Jim was a source of companionship, joy, laughter, and occasional puzzlement for those that were fortunate to come to know him. 

Memorial donations in honor of Jim may be made to The Golisano Children’s Hospital’s Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders Program.   1. Jim was one of my greatest mentors and most of all a great friend. I’ve missed him dearly since I left the UR. I’m saddened to hear of his passing and will be praying for him and his family.

  2. Jim and Ann were regulars at Finger Lakes Coffee Roasters. My coworkers and I looked forward to seeing them twice a week. My heart goes out to his family. He was such a sweet man.

    • How sweet of you! Jim and I missed you after you left FLC and wondered how you were doing.Having coffee with friendly people was always one of our favorite things to do.

  3. I have worked at Finger Lakes for the past couple of years and it was such a delight to see Jim with Ann every week! He was such a sweet man and he will truly be missed. Sending love to Ann and his family.💛
