Edna Ann Flanagan, age 95, formerly of Central Square, NY who moved to Rochester with her husband in 2003 to be nearer to family, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, August 2 in Rochester, NY.  She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who devoted her life to her family.  Edna was very sweet, supportive and thoughtful, and dedicated to family and always had a smile and thoughtful advice for everyone. She loved her coffee and candies, and her family will miss her fabulous apple pies. Her personality would brighten your day right up to the end. After Edna’s children went to college, she did office work at various retailers in the Syracuse area before retirement. Afterward, she loved to travel to visit family and vacation with them in Europe and domestically.  She lived independently and was very devout in her religion. In her later years, she especially loved spending time tending to her garden and yard, and watching the birds and other wildlife. A beloved wife and loving mother, Edna was married for over 54 years to the late Harlow Gerald Flanagan, and adored her two sons, Terrence (Karen) Flanagan of Davis, Illinois and Brian (Karen) Flanagan of Rochester, NY. Edna was a grandmother to Michael (Ginger), Jessica (Justin), Steven (Karle), Shea, and Maureen. Great-grandmother of Caitlin, Brayden, Ethan, Elliana, Donovan, and Riley. Preceded by her husband, parents, two brothers and a sister.

Calling Hours will be on Friday, August 11 from 5-7pm at Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home, 7501 Pittsford-Palmyra Road, Fairport, NY, with a Funeral Mass on Saturday, August 12 at 9am at St. Louis Church, 64 S Main St, Pittsford, NY.
