Barbara J. Fracassi (Hanf)
Age 77, Penfield, NY
Passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025 with her daughter and son-in-law by her side.
Predeceased by her parents, Sol and Ida Hanf and brother, Jeffrey Hanf.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Janell Vanegas (Sal); granddaughters, Mia and Ryan; grandson, Nicolas; sisters, Susan Ohrenstein and Sandra Corey; brother, Robert Hanf (Susan); former husband, Frank Fracassi and his daughter, Renee Fracassi and many beloved nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Barbara grew up in Brighton, NY and went to Brighton High School. She lived her adult life in Rochester and Sarasota, FL where she found her knack for all things sales…from jewelry to cars to real estate. Barbara had a successful real estate career before retiring to spend more time with her family. She had a flair for life. She loved to dance and spend time laughing with friends. She was the one everyone turned to for honest advice. She was the classiest person in any room…beautiful, honest, genuine and kind. She always treated others with respect and everyone loved being around her.
She will be greatly missed.
A private service will be held at a later date.

You’ll be forever loved and missed by all who knew you Barbie ❤️
Barbara- what a lovely lady!! Yes she was the classiest lady in the room. I’ve known her for many years, and the one thought that I attach most of her was the kindness and grace that came off of her lips. I just don’t remember her speaking unkindly or harshly about anyone. She was such a gentle spirit. Love and blessings. Jim Paulino.
Barb and I met in the 1970’s. After a long pause, we reconnected in 2021. We spoke via the phone every week. Our conversations ran the gamut. We shared all that was and is. We had a mutual respect and understanding for each other. I miss our phone chats, I miss you my friend.
Sending my condolences to the family.
Grew up in Rochester NY with the Hanf family. Our dad’s were “Neisner Men, so we all became family.
Love to Sandy…
