In Loving Memory of Norma Gimbert-Maier
January 13, 1947 – April 18, 2025
After a courageous battle with cancer, Norma Gimbert-Maier passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, on January 13, 1947, Norma lived a life filled with passion, perseverance, and deep love for her family and friends.
Norma had a childhood love for horseback riding and enjoyed a diverse and fulfilling career, working as an accountant for Beau Productions, Sparkle Plenty, Maier Properties, and the New York State Troopers.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Ron; her beloved children Shawn (Frances), Shana (Stuart), and Marie (Yves); and her cherished grandchildren Victoria, Ronan, Eamon, Alison, Eoghan, Oliver, Amelie, Ian and Tadhg (deceased). Norma also leaves behind her siblings Nancy Gimbert, Linda Corbett, Walter Gimbert III, Ronald Gimbert, and George Gimbert.
Norma found great joy in motorcycle rides, golfing, traveling around the world, and doing jigsaw puzzles, but above all, her greatest treasure was her family. She touched countless lives—many we may never even know—and her warmth, generosity, and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Norma’s honor in the summer of 2025. Details will be shared with family and friends.

We are so saddened to hear about Norma. She was so positive about all those who knew her.we had a special relationship being from our Jersey City backgrounds. She was a great working associate.
I only had the pleasure of knowing Norma for the past three years & I felt privileged meeting her & her husband Ron. What an amazing loving family & how much they adored each other & their family. It reminded me of my mom & Dad. The best thing about Norma is she treated my daughter like she was a part of their family and she made her feel so comfortable with their Family❤️ I am heartbroken for Ron & her whole family. She was very exceptional & we were fortunate enough to meet her ❤️❤️❤️ love you
I was very saddened to hear about Norma’s passing. She was a great person; smart as a whip with a wonderful sense of humor.
