Theresa, aka Terri, was a person whose selfless acts of a helping hand added to the value of the lives of others in immeasurable ways. If someone needed assistance with a personal problem, a project or bereavement comfort, she stood ready.

She was Past President of the Boston (NY) Welcome Wagon, a member of the North Boston (NY) Fireman’s Women’s Auxiliary, and the Boston (NY) Senior Citizens where she was Chairperson for fundraising dinners and Christmas parties. She enjoyed going on the numerous Seniors trips. She enjoyed bowling and yes, going occasionally to the casino.

She held dear the roles of loving wife of Edward (68 years), and as the mother, grandmother and granny of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her cooking prowess was widely known. Armed with her creativity and with some help from Betty Crocker, the enticing smells of made from scratch dishes and baked goods wafted regularly throughout the house.

Nothing smells more like home than the scent of homemade bread baking in the oven as you walk in the door. Leaving her home with a loaf of bread or the leftover rolls, enjoying a casserole or a pie from her was like winning a prize.

Her faith in God was steadfast and she expressed her belief she will be with husband Ed, friends, family, Jesus, the Mother Mary and God when enters the gates of Heaven.

Theresa’s family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to her Atria family for loving and supporting her these past three years, especially during the difficult days of the pandemic.  Theresa received exceptional care from Dr. Eric Huselton, Sarah and staff at URMC as well as from the countless nurses and staff at the Wilmot Infusion Center who kept her comfortable during her treatments and we are grateful for their kindness and caring.   Special thanks to the outstanding Rochester Regional Hospice Team, especially the angels at HIldebrandt Hospice Care Home who made it possible to fulfill her last wishes of a peaceful pain free journey to reunite with the love of her life.

Heaven gained a true angel… “Mom” Gresco will always hold a special place in our hearts as she touched our lives for so many years, especially during our college days… She cooked countless meals, baked the best cookies, sewed or hemmed clothing, shared insight and wisdom on some of life’s twists and turns, and ALWAYS made us feel like family. We are grateful to have shared so may wonderful memories with “Mom” and blessed to have been touched by her generous heart and unconditional love!

    1. Thanks for sharing these memories. She sure loved you two. And was very grateful you introduced me to Marty (and pushed me to give him a chance?) because she thought he was the best son in law ever. ? I envision the two of them reeking havoc in heaven together.

I have wonderful memories of Mr. and Mrs. Gresco as I grew up down the street from them. Later on, it was always a joy to bring my own children back to visit. Theresa always made sure they had something sweet to eat. She will be missed but the memories will live on. Thinking of all the family at this time.

Dearest Cousins: You are all in our thoughts and prayers. We loved your Mom like our own and have wonderful memories of Christmas Day dinners at your house and many picnics. Our memories are happy ones of terrific food, good fun, and family. Heaven has surely gained a new angel and the “Fab Four” – Edward, Robert, Theresa, and Elaine are now all together again. God bless all of you always. Love, Vaune, Charlie, and Tama
