Donna Louise Demmler Harr would like to let you know that her work here is finished.  She was invited on a wonderful new adventure on June 12, 2023.  It was an offer she couldn’t refuse.  She found the adventure to be so wonderful and she missed him so much, that she asked the love of her life, Roy Eugene Harr to join her and he did on June 16, 2023.  There are many perks with this adventure.  First a reunion with their parents, siblings, family, friends and the exuberant wagging tales of their beloved Boston Terriers, all who they haven’t seen in such a long time.  Donna will get to socialize, play bridge and is probably leading a new book club.  Gene will no doubt be reminiscing with his US Air Force buddies, as they congratulate themselves on how fortunate they were to serve this great country with honor and pride.  He will be able to restore an endless line of old cars, which will absolutely win best in show.  The RV in which they will explore their new adventure will be incredible.  Laughter and love will be abundant. They have left detailed instructions for their children, Joe (Karen), Steve (Kitty) and Linda (Greg), their 8 grandchildren and one great grandson, their siblings, family and friends.  Don’t be sad but celebrate their life together and the wonderful memories you carry in your hearts.

We want to let them know what a great job they did and wish them a wonderful journey.   We will remember their smiles and warmth, their energy, their love for life, family and friends, but most of all their love for each other for the past 65 years.  They worked hard all their lives and made a difference in the lives of so many.

We invite every person who was privileged to know them and be a part of their lives to join the family in celebrating the legacy they created.

Calling Hours will be held Friday July 7, 2023 4-6PM at the Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home (Egypt Location) 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Road, Fairport.

In Lieu of flowers please consider Donations to Lollypop Farm or Perinton Volunteer Ambulance.

Your Mom always had a wonderful and welcoming smile. Didn’t know your Dad, but seeing your Mom’s smile proved the blessing they both shared. Condolences to the entire family. Janet Provino (Settler’s Club)

What a beautiful tribute. I didn’t know Gene and Donna well, but their commitment to each other is awe inspiring. May God bless and comfort your entire family during this difficult time.

We grew up next door to Mr and Mrs Harr and they were amazing friends to our family. My mom (Pat) was just reminiscing about her daily evening walks with your mom. My dad (Tony) would go to Carlyle PA for car shows with Gene. Wonderful memories and a beautiful tribute to your parents.

I am so saddened to learn of Gene and Donna’s passing. My heart goes out to all the Harr families on their loss of Mom and Dad. All three generations were long time patients of mine as well as friends. You all were a large part of my dental family. Donna had the most beautiful smile and lovely demeanor while all others were just as sincere as she. You all have my most sincere sympathy.

We were very saddened by the passing of both parents, but I’m sure one would not want to live without the other. This was a beautiful tribute. The world lost two beautiful souls but God called them so there’s work to be done in heaven. May God heal the hole in the family’s hearts.
