Margaret, or to those who knew her well, Marge or Margie, was born on January 22, 1953 in Bronxville, NY to Peter and Josephine Sposato (DiGiacomo). She grew up in Eastchester, NY with her older sister, Virginia and her younger brother, Peter. She attended Maria Regina High School in Hartsdale, NY where she played basketball. She graduated from Stonehill College and spent a year abroad in France, an experience she carried with her for the rest of her life. She went on to earn her Master’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and taught French in the Tuckahoe NY school district. She enjoyed bowling and was an avid bridge player.
She married Arthur Hildebrandt in 1978 and moved to Brewster, NY where they had two sons, Scott and Michael. They later moved to Montpelier, VT where she taught French and Spanish at Twinfield schools, then to Pittsford, NY where she continued to teach French and Spanish in the Red Jacket school district. She retired from teaching and went to work as a receptionist at Billitier Electric until she retired in 2016 to spend more time with her grandson, Mackay Hildebrandt.
Marge was a lifelong sports fan. She spent her weekends and evenings cheering on the New York Mets, Buffalo Bills, as well as the Syracuse Orange basketball and football trams.
Margaret Mary Hildebrandt (Sposato), aged 68, passed away on November 10, 2021 at Rochester General Hospital. She is survived by her husband Arthur Hildebrandt, her sons Scott and Michael Hildebrandt, her daughter-in-law Jen Lunsford, her grandson Mackay Hildebrandt, her siblings Virginia Fisher and Peter Sposato along with their families.
