Ron passed away on June 19, 2021. He is predeceased by his parents Beatrice and Francis Hofmann. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Dolores, daughter Cindy (Ford) and husband Jay, son Craig (Hofmann),and wife Alicia and two delightful granddaughters, Rachael and Sarah; his sister from Connecticut, Mary Lois and husband Richard Allen; cousins James Hofmann and wife Maureen, Dan Hofmann, wife Sue and Francis Hofmann of Florida.
Ron and Dolores spent many winters in Arizona. Ron loved to bowl and enjoyed learning about lawn bowling and was a faithful player every day. He loved sports, especially football and baseball. He was waiting 32 years to see the Buffalo Bills win the Super Bowl.” Go Bills!” He would always say. Many people in places we traveled would stop him about the Bills because he always wore that hat wherever he went. He also enjoyed playing bridge with other couples and was frustrated when the women would win. Also, he was a list maker: grocery shopping lists were made every week along with events on the calendar, he suggested what would be made for dinner and would prepare the vegetables, etc.
He owned Lafler Engraving Company for 32 years. There were many evenings when he would be home late because of work. He was also a member of the National Guard Battery B First Battalion 2009 Artillery for 10 years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on July 1, 2021, at 1:00 pm at St. Louis Church in Pittsford, NY. Interment to follow at White Haven Cemetery. A reception for friends and family will follow at St. Louis Parish Gathering Room.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to a Charity of your Choice.

We are extremely saddened to learn of Ron’s passing. We spent many happy hours in his company on the bowling Green in Arizona and playing cards or rummikub in the evenings. We have fond memories of our trips to Laughlin and Upstate NY. Ron will be greatly missed.
Thinking of Dolores at this most difficult time, having enjoyed many happy times hiking with Ron and Dolores.
We are sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. We enjoyed bowling, hiking, and singing with him and Dolores. He was a great guy and gave generously of his time and talents.
