Joseph Huber, December 20, 2025
Joseph Huber, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on December 20, 2025. He was 66 years old.
Joe was born in Buffalo, New York, a city he always held close to his heart. A lifelong lover of learning, Joe earned a degree in History from Canisius College, reflecting his deep curiosity about the world and the stories behind it. That passion carried into his career at the Rochester Public Library, where he took pride in serving the community and helping others discover knowledge and history for themselves.
Family was at the center of Joe’s life. He deeply valued time spent with family. His Aunt Mary was central to his life and was in every sense, his best friend. In her later years, Joe devoted time to caring for her and providing daily companionship. He took this role on with patience and compassion.
Joseph also had a love for travel and adventure. He especially enjoyed visiting Major League Baseball stadiums across the country, appreciating the history and character of each ballpark. A devoted Buffalo Bills fan, he proudly followed his team and shared in the excitement of every season.
He is survived by his sisters, Joyce and Joanne, his three nieces, Grace, Elise and Meaghan, who will all remember him for his kindness, loyalty, love of family, and the many meaningful moments they shared together.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. John’s of Rochester on January 5th at 11am 8Wickford Way, Fairport. Family and friends are welcome.
