It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Carolyn Hutchins on August 3rd, 2024 at the age of 84. Carolyn was the daughter of the late John (Jack) and Mabel Finan. She is predeceased by her first husband William (Bill) Yeager and her son Daniel (Dan) Yeager, as well as by her sister Sheila Barker and brothers Jerome and Richard Finan. She is survived by her husband, Don, sons Chris, Eric, and Mark, and grandchildren Nephele, Aris, Jason, Will, Cole, Kaylen, and Mallory. Also surviving are many additional family members, including her daughters-in-law Tina, Renee, and Kelly, stepson Peter, and stepdaughters Susan, Elizabeth, and Carolyn, nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Born in Scranton, PA, she studied at East Stroudsburg University and worked for many years as a primary school teacher. But first, and foremost, she was the matron of her extended family. Already large with four boys of her own, it was significantly expanded with her marriage to Don Hutchins. She had so many family members in her loving extended family that she needed notes just to remember everyone and their place in the family tree. Her kindness and patience will be especially missed by all of them.
Calling Hours are Monday, August 12th, 2024, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home (Egypt Location), 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Road, Fairport. A Funeral Mass will be held at The Church of the Transfiguration, 50 West Bloomfield Road, Pittsford, on Tuesday, August 13, at 11:30 a.m., followed by a burial ceremony at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Ave, Rochester.

I remember Carolyn well as we lived on Railroad Mills Rd. When we moved away to SC in 2002, I never saw her again. But I always remembered her smiling and friendly always. My son Tony Masi was the same age as her son Eric. I remember her being the newspaper courier for the delivery boys.
Our hearts go out to Don and his family. We have known Carolyn since Don brought her up to Blue Mt Lake for their annual summer vacation. She is in our hearts and will be missed. May God bless the Hutchin family.
