Richard Inzinna, born May 6, 1953, passed away peacefully February 17, 2026 surrounded by family after a long CKD diagnosis.   He was predeceased by his parents Joseph R. Inzinna / Theresa  (Cassata) Inzinna  and his brother, Jerry.   Richard is survived by his loving wife, Ann E. (Moede) Inzinna, daughters,  Amy (Paul) Carrabba and Jodi (Eric) Jefferson, grandchildren Izabella and PJ (Kaile) Carrabba, Carmella and Jack Jefferson and sisters, Diane (Tim) Crowell and Nancy Frias.

A native of Rochester, NY, Richard attended St. Andrews where he served as an altar boy and graduated from Bishop Kearney High School in 1971. His education also included Monroe Community College and RIT.  Married in 1974, Rick  raised two girls in Greece, NY.  As a family, they enjoyed several Florida vacations along with fishing and hiking in the Adirondacks, Thousand Islands and Bar Harbor, Maine.

In 1979 he successfully completed an Apprentice Training Program which led into a fulfilling career at Kodak as a Technologist for Motion Picture Film.  Rick was awarded a patent for a Kodak invention of an evacuation apparatus having independent vacuum level controls.  Later, helping out a friend developed into a very successful business venture and partnership.  Rick was the co-founder/owner of Machine Solutions in the Mt. Read area of Rochester, NY  for  11 years before moving to Brooksville, Fl.  He was an excellent business man, hardworking and honest.

Rick along with his wife of 52 years moved to Florida so their family and grandchildren could create memories in the warmer weather.  They enjoyed  kayaking, snorkeling, diving for clams, fishing and just relaxing on the water and various sandy beaches.  They were cherished moments that deepened their family bond. His favorite hobby was gardening. Rick shared fond childhood memories working in the garden with his granddad in Avon, NY.  He joined a Master Gardner’s program while living in Florida for 13 years.

Moving back to the Rochester area, Rick continued his gardening interest even with the appetite of the rabbits and deer.  God’s blessing were everywhere in his life. In the morning walking the woods in his backyard gave him a spiritual peace.  After a busy day working in the yard, garden and finishing house projects, Rick enjoyed  just relaxing on the back deck watching the various animals and listening to the birds sing.  He appreciated the joys of hard work and patience that nature brought.

He was always willing to go the extra mile to help out a neighbor or friend but his priority was his family.  Rick was always a great provider and a protector.  Playing euchre and laughter during the holidays, were moments you wished would never end.  Rick was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, February 26,2026 at 10:00am at the Church of the Assumption, 20 East Ave. Fairport, NY.   The Mass will also be livestreamed at https://assumptionresurrection.org/livestream.   A private entombment will follow immediately after Mass at White Haven Memorial Park in Pittsford, NY.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Rick’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation.

  1. Rick was more than our neighbor he was our friend. Val and I feel so grateful to have lived next door to someone so kind, generous, and welcoming. We loved walking through his beautiful garden, listening to him talk about what he was growing, and learning from his patience and pride in every plant. We were often lucky enough to go home with fresh tomatoes or basil and always appreciated the time, care, and love he poured into sharing them.

Rick was the kind of man who was always willing to help, offer advice, or simply stop and talk. His warmth made our neighborhood feel like home. We will deeply miss our conversations, his steady presence, and the joy he found in both his family and the simple blessings around him.

  2. Our hearts ache as we learn of Rick’s passing. Ann; you, Rick, Amy and Jody made such an impact on us. We treasure our memories of Rochester! Gardening, The Bills’ games, the big ice storm, Patti’s Punch and all of the delectable foods we prepared for each other. You and Rick were always there for us. We love each of you.

  4. We had the privilege of knowing Mr. Inzinna for the past 10 years, and we will always be grateful for the time we shared. I especially enjoyed our Euchre games and the stories he told, each one delivered with warmth and a spark of humor. He had a way of making you feel welcome at the table. More than anything, I admired the love and care he showed as a grandfather, father, and husband
