Linda Louise Juers, age 86, died peacefully on Saturday, June 13, 2026, surrounded by family at The Friendly Home in Brighton, New York. She was born in Queens, New York on February 26, 1940, to Anna Veronica and John Arthur Bantel. She had degrees from Queens College (BA) and Nazareth College (MS Education) and worked as a Reading Specialist for BOCES. She raised three daughters who will always love her dearly. She married Daniel Juers in 1984, and they shared 42 fulfilling years of life together as one.
They were part of a small group that founded Advent House which provides hospice care in a home-like setting. Linda volunteered there for many years providing hands-on care in addition to volunteering in many ways at her church, Bethlehem Lutheran in Fairport. They also enjoyed many vacations together especially anywhere she could put her feet in the sand. Linda is known for having been warm, welcoming, and having a wonderful sense of humor. She had a gift of making each person she touched just a bit better. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, crossword puzzles, reading, and music.
She is survived by her beloved husband Dan, her sister Elizabeth (Richard) Shipley and their daughters, and her daughters from her first marriage: Lynn (Bryan) Moulton, Diane (Matthew) Chasse, and Laura (Michael) Miller. She is also survived by her grandchildren Emma and Calvin Moulton, Ella Chasse, Alex Miller, Melanie (Alan) Guyan, and Melissa Miller, as well as stepchildren Jacquie (Sarah) Juers and John (Pam) Juers, and grandchildren Connor, Evan, and Mitchell Juers.
Two services will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fairport, New York: a Funeral Service on Monday, June 22nd at 11 a.m. and a Memorial Service on Saturday, August 8th at 11 a.m.

50 years of memories there. So sorry for Dan, her daughters, stepchildren and grandchildren’s loss. I know she will be dearly missed.

Dan and I were so sad to hear of Linda’s death. I remember many wonderful times with Linda & Dan at BLC events. Laura and our Danny were buddies and she was always welcome in our home. We think often of the youth we worked with at BLC and always appreciated the support of Linda and Dan.

Dear Aunt Linda! Such a kind, genteel lady… She loved being a mom and was so good to all us kids, her Floridian nieces. When I think of her, I see her brilliant smile. She made this world sweeter and that legacy lives on in her daughters and grandchildren. My heart and prayers of comfort are with everyone who loves her.
