Elizabeth Ridley Kane passed away on 10/20/2021 at the Brightonian Nursing Home, Rochester, New York. She was was 97.
Betty was Born 1129/1923 and was the youngest of four girls to Frank and Maude Ridley.
Betty Graduated for Monroe High School.
Betty married Walter Kane and had five children.
Preceded in death by husband Walter, son Thomas, daughter Susan, son William and son- in -law Leland. She is survived by daughter Virginia (Ron) of Fairport, NY, son Michael (Sandy) of Williamson, NY, daughters in law Kathy of Perry, NY and Jodi of Clifton Springs, NY.
She had 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
Betty worked at Allen E. DeCew Agency until retirement. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Fairport and member of the Sodus Bay Yacht Club.
She and Walt loved sailing and spent much time on their sailboat, appropriately named “September Song”. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time in the Adirondacks at Echo Haus.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at the Brightonian for all the love and Care they provided to Betty.
