Uncle Tom Kearney’s life was a blessing to all who knew and loved him. Talk about a life well-lived…and his legacy of the six wonderful kids he and Aunt Gerry raised. Thanks for all the laughter you brought to us, Uncle Tom!
To all the Kearney kids: Your dad was one of a kind! Such a fabulous man who will be greatly missed. We loved both your parents and I’m sure they are now reconnected for eternity. Love and Prayers to each and every one of you.
I loved Mr. Kearney, such a good man. His was indeed a life well lived. He and Mrs. Kearney had a strong, loving marriage. Their household was filled with love and laughter where they raised their six children to be happy, successful adults. What I admired most about Mr. Kearney was his ever present smile and his ability to have fun and enjoy life all the time.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as I hope your wonderful memories will bring you peace and joy in your lives ahead. I was always happy to greet your dad and help him out over these many years at Wegmans. I knew him to be a kind, gentle man and always had a ready smile. I will miss his presence here on earth. May God bless each of you and please know that you are surrounded with love and support from so many. His life was well lived and his reward is just!
Thank you Donna for all you did for Dad over the years. You made the many trips to the pharmacy so much better than they could have been.
We so enjoyed getting to know Mr. Kearney in our Wheelock Rd neighborhood. What a wonderful human he was! My husband, Dane and I were born and raised in Erie, PA and Mr. Kearney told us he went to high school at Cathedral Prep, where my dad & husband went. And I think I remember him saying his beloved wife, Gerry had gone to Villa Maria Academy, where I went to high school. We had many conversations about Erie over the years, and on more than one occasion, Mr. Kearney rolled down his car window when driving by and yelled “hey! tell your husband I said “Roll Ramblers!” (the Prep football cheer). Mr. Kearney also loved sharing stories about all of you, his kids and grandkids – he was so very proud of all of you and his legacy will live on in each of you. We will miss seeing Mr. Kearney walking around the neighborhood and catching up with him from time to time. We extend our sincerest sympathies to all of his extended family and pray for his eternal peace.

Tom was a great friend,we had many laughs over lunch and playing golf. My heart goes out to his family but remember the good times and laughter. He is probably having a pint of Yeungling with St. Peter or a sip of Black Bush, may God hold your soul in the palm of His hand.

I got to know Tom as head of the Cemetery Committee at St. Joseph’s. He was a thoughtful and dynamic gentleman and I considered him a friend. I was so sorry when I heard of his illness, and doubly so that he had passed during the lockdown. God bless and comfort his family. He is with God and his beloved Gerry.
