I had the privilege of visiting Richie through so many hospital stays over last couple of years, that you can say that we
kind of become “buddies.” As I watched him battle through a host of serious ailments, I saw a man who did not want to give up the fight.
I saw him draw strength from his faith and from his love and care for Irene. He was one of my heros.

Be at peace, Richie. You earned it.

One of the best people I have ever met! I love this man like a father. He made friends so easily as he was such a loving and caring man! I will forever cherish our long talks, HUGE belly laughs, intense debates, but most of all, his LOVE for the Yankees. He was such a dear friend to me and my family. Rest in peace Buddy!
