With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Paul LaBombard, who left us on July 22, 2025 at the age of 93. Paul was born on 23 Nov 1931 in AuSable Forks, NY. He was christened on 6 Dec 1931 in St. Matthews Church, Black Brook, NY. He was a beloved brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly
missed.
Paul was a proud veteran. He joined the Army Air Force on 26 Nov 1948 and served in the 13th Air Force until 30 Aug 1952. He was stationed at Lackland AFB, Ft Francis E Warren, Kelly Field, Clark Field, and Moody AFB.
He was Honorably Discharged as S/Sgt Sr Personnel Specialist on 1 Sep 1952 at Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta Georgia. His dedication to duty and service to our country will always be remembered.
Paul was a remarkable individual whose life was filled with creativity, love, and a deep connection to family. He built his home in Fairport with the help of lifelong friends, the Barnum family. He was the most thoughtful gift giver, always finding the perfect present that brought joy to those around them.
He had a talent for researching family trees, connecting generations and creating a legacy of love and history. In addition to his passion for family, Paul loved creating unique items with his 3D printer or designing custom t-shirts, he poured his heart into every project.
Paul is survived by his brother Girard La Bombard and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother and father Edward and Isabelle (Champain) LaBombard, brothers Calvin LaBombard, Francis LaBombard, Edward LaBombard, Jr., and sister Agatha LaBombard.
Paul, you will be missed, but your legacy will live on in our hearts.

Paul was the Church of the Resurrection’s best historical. He was lector for the first Mass of the Church of the Resurrection; he was a founding member. Paul loved Mass. He always asked me about the north country, a place we both loved. Every phone call was a delight.
Paul was a wonderful man. Bob and I looked forward to Mass every Saturday at Resurrection so we could discuss the state of the country.and the world. We lost that when Covid hit. Bob spoke with him last November. It was around the time of his birthday. Bob and Paul served on the Perinton Volunteer Ambulance Corps. He was a talented artist, had a wry sense of humor and was sim[ly an all around nice guy. As stated in his obituary, “Paul, you will be missed, but your legacy will live on in our hearts. Rest in Peace.
