Rochester: Marianne M. Larson, born April 13, 1942, in Rochester, New York, passed away on July 18, 2014, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. She was the daughter of J. Kenneth and Jean H. (Gordon) Miller, the second youngest of eight children. She was predeceased by her siblings, Barbara Talbot, Patricia Willis, Gerald Miller, Priscilla Cowan, Suzanne Miller, and Terri Miller. She is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Dr. Daniel P. Larson, recently retired president of Cayuga Community College in Auburn, her oldest sister, Rosemary E. Disney, of Rochester, New York, as well as an extended family of numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was a graduate of James Madison High School in Rochester and completed college courses in Kansas City. Her business career spanned more than forty years, including Music Lovers Shoppe in Rochester and as hospital and physician practice administrator in Kansas City, Southwest Michigan, and St. Louis. She touched the lives of all who knew her with love and respect.
Funeral arrangements are by Keenan Funeral Home in Fairport, New York, with family interment at White Haven Memorial Park in Pittsford, New York. Calling hours are 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7550 Grant Avenue (Route 5), Auburn, New York, with the funeral to follow at 12 noon at the church. Memorials and contributions may be made to the charity of individual choice or to the Church missionary fund.
