Carole MJ Lausin, 84 of Fairport, NY passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025 from complications of COVID and COPD. Carole was a devoted wife to Tom Lausin, a loving mother to Regina and Joseph, a phenomenal grandmother to Justine, Tegan, Timo, Jeremy, and Hunter. Mom was a published poet and loved to write all types of poems and short stories. Her artistry was absolutely gorgeous to look at. Mom loved to sit around and be surrounded by her family and close friends. She was an avid book reader and loved to read mystery books. She was known to read over 30 books in two weeks from the library. Even though mom didn’t leave the house after COVID came she still kept in touch with family and friends. She loved to write to family members that were no longer near her and when she was getting tired of the writing, she would call weekly and catch up on what was going on in her family and close friends’ lives.  Carole’s life encompassed all aspects of life. Mom, loved her garden and getting fresh vegetables from the plants when they were ready for harvesting. She loved it when her kids came over and brought with them one of their various animals so that she could play with them and they had a great time with her. We all now have a void in our lives and hearts that will never be filled. She will always be in our hearts and we do have all the memories of her laughing, crying, enjoying life as she always did.   In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the COPD Foundation (email: donations@copdfoundation.org)  in her name.
