Longing for a better life, Helen and William packed all their belongings into two trunks and moved from England to the US in 1968 with their two boys (6 and 3 years old). Helen was a stay at home mother, briefly working at Wilbert Burial Vaults. In 1977 Helen and William bought a local business. She then became manager, bookkeeper, as well as doing and fulfilling many other tasks and jobs. Through it all she was the primary caretaker, of her two boys and the household.
She enjoyed being involved in everything she did, as well as offering advice and help to anybody that needed it. She rarely complained about her ailments or challenges and always met them head-on. She was always available to her closest friends and especially for her family.
She was devoted to her grandchildren, always ready with a helpful ear, and ready to offer advice.
