Donald Losey, age 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 21st 2023. Predeceased by his parents Martha and Sherwood, Don is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Susan Losey, two devoted sons and daughters-in-law: Brent & Melanie Losey and Derek & Shannon Losey. He is also survived by brother-in-law Gary Hendrickson, grandchildren Tristan Harvey, Brooke Losey & Jake Losey, nephew Jared Hendrickson and niece Kaylee Hendrickson.
Don would say that he lived a very full and happy life, with no regrets. He worked hard, played harder and loved more than anyone we know. After working at Xerox for 37 years, he retired to do the things he truly enjoyed. Above all else, his most treasured moments were spent with his family and friends. You could find him poolside every weekend in the summer, socializing, telling jokes and watching the grandkids swim.
Don’s real legacy is his huge heart and how much he loved those around him. He was kind, positive and always a gentleman. Don loved his boys more than anything and passed on those same values. He also taught them to snowmobile, play softball, hockey, and waterski. After playing sports alongside them for several years, his passion for sports continued with cheering them on at every game. Don also loved golfing, family vacations in Myrtle Beach, snowmobiling in the Adirondacks, boating on Canandaigua Lake, watching the grandkids play hockey & lacrosse, cheering on the Buffalo Bills, keeping his yard and pool meticulous for all to enjoy and relaxing on the white sands of Siesta Key, FL.
A celebration of this remarkable man’s life will be held on Saturday July 1st from 4-8 pm at the Log Cabin Restaurant 2445 W Walworth Rd, Macedon, NY. In lieu of flowers, feel free to perform a random act of kindness in Don’s name and if you so choose, donations are always welcome to Don and Sue’s favorite charity, St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or the charity of your choice.

Don never met a person that was not a friend. He made you feel welcome. I will miss him
We had the same name and had fun with it when people called out “Don”
Janet and I will miss Don.
My Dewey Avenue friend, softball teammate, golfing buddy..I will miss him terribly. Much love to his family.
I remember Don as being a friend of my older brother Frank also deceased. Sounds like they were two of a kind – great fellows greatly missed.
We cherish so many memories we have shared over the years with the Losey Family.
All those softball games, camping at the lakes, snowmobiling, traveling, parties, swimming, births and marriages of his boys, births of his grandchildren. We will miss him dearly.
So sorry to hear the passing of D0N RIP
Sorry for your loss..he definitely lived his life! Loved playing softball with and against him…rest in peace.
Sue & Boys, Gail just informed me about Don’s death. I am so sorry, but happy to have great memories with you in North Myrtle Beach for 14 Spring Break vacations. It sounds like the grandchildren became Don’s life. Bud & I did the same, never missing an activity Greg & Elizabeth were doing while in school. (Bud died 5 years ago.)
My prayers are for you to forge ahead, missing Don every day. I live with this message:
Those we love don’t go away, They walk beside us everyday.
Unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed and very dear!
God Bless You All. . . . Nancy Lang

Rest in Peace my friend. God Bless his family .
I have so many great memories of all the junior high summer hours spent at Don’s house with Steve Hewitt and Dudley Root doing all kinds of things I would not want my kids doing. Great times!

We were so sorry to hear of Don’s passing. We have many fond memories of softball games when we played for Flaherty’s. I would see him after that from time to time and always enjoyed talking with him. He will be missed. Our condolences to the family
