Stephen grew up on long island, where he developed a great love for The Brooklyn Dodgers, the New York Mets, Jets, Nets and Rangers and loved to talk sports with his family and friends. He enlisted into the US Air Force and while stationed in Iowa, he met and married the love of his life. After the Air Force he attended Hofstra, attaining his undergraduate degree then going on to complete his masters degree from Adelphi. In 1966, he moved to Fairport, N.Y. with his wife and their 5 children after landing a job with Eastman Kodak Company where he stayed for 30 years. Fairport is where Stephen and Mary raised their kids. He was a dedicated volunteer hockey coach for his son’s youth league, the Rochester Lions, eventually becoming club president. He also restarted the MCC hockey team in 1977, following his love of the game and coaching.  After raising their children, Stephen took an opportunity in London with Kodak where he and Mary lived for 5 years. Stephen had a green thumb and was an avid gardener throughout his life. He was generous with an infectious belly laugh, telling his stories surrounded by his family. He will be greatly missed.

In keeping with Steve’s generosity, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association Rochester Finger Lakes Region Chapter.
