Victor: At age 91, after 12+ years of holding multiple cancers at bay, the cancers finally won March 24, 2017.

Survived by his adoring wife of 51 years, Doris (Balling) Maier; son, Larry, daughters Tracy (Rich) Williams and Nancy Beaman;  grandchildren, Sean, Nicole, Brittney, Matthew, Kevin and Jesse; great-grandchildren, John, Camden and Elise; brother Robert, nieces Barbara and Susan.

NEVER a man to complain, he lived his days with such wondrous tenacity. The proudest of veterans who “fibbed his way” into WWII so that he could protect our country; a man with a work ethic unparalleled to many and literally the very first to offer assistance to someone in need.

There will no prior calling hours. A loving memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Fairport United Methodist Church, 31 W. Church Street, Fairport; after which the family would welcome all for refreshments and to reminisce in the Fellowship Hall. (https://www.utahcnacenters.com/) In lieu of flowers, honor this humble man by thanking a veteran for their unselfish service, “paying it forward” while standing in line or simply hold the door for a stranger.
