Lawrence “Larry” Anthony Mandarino
February 26, 1934 – July 22, 2025
Lawrence “Larry” Anthony Mandarino, age 91, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025.
Larry was a proud Rochester native who held close the memories of time spent with his beloved sister, parents, aunts, many cousins, and extended family, especially on North Street. He graduated from Aquinas Institute, where he was a dedicated member of the ROTC. He then served during the post-Korean War era laying the foundation for a lifetime of pride in his country.
Larry worked as a beautician and found joy in bringing confidence to others. In his free time over the years, he loved keeping up with friends and family, playing golf, watching classic WWII movies, and spending time and going dancing with his special companion of over 40 years, Kathleen “Kay” Arieno.
Larry is survived by his beloved sister, Vera, who will hold his memory in her heart eternally, his son, Loren Mandarino, and his cherished grandson, Alexander.
He will be deeply missed and remembered for his charm, quick wit, warm heart, and loyalty to those he held close.
Calling Hours will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 25th, followed by an 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service at St. John of Rochester, 8 Wickford Way, Fairport, NY. The Funeral Service will also be livestreamed at https://stjohnfairport.org/streaming.
