Richard “Rick” C. Manetta, 72, left us on October 25th, 2023, with his family by his side at Highland Hospital of Rochester, NY.
Rick was born July 2, 1951 in Rochester, New York to Emmanuele P. and Mary Capozzi Manetta. He graduated from RL Thomas High School in Webster, NY in 1969, and then took his adventurous heart to Aspen, Colorado, where he met and married Diane Cole and had his first son, Christopher Manetta, in 1979. When divorced, he would later marry Mary-Lyn (Maira) Macaluso, who gave Rick his second son, Richard Manetta in 1985, and his step-children Terri Macaluso Ryndock (Michael), Stephanie Macaluso Gorsky, and Michael Macaluso in Gananda and Fairport, New York.
He lived and worked in Rochester, NY, serving in property management for West Gate Plaza and Baldwin Real Estate Corp. in Greece NY, from which he ultimately retired.
Rick’s favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing, jazz music, and sharing stories of his now deceased brother (Mark Manetta) and his father’s passion and talent for music. Spending time with family and friends at his property in Prattsburgh, NY made up some of his fondest memories on which he’d often reflect.
Mr. Manetta is survived by his two sons and their spouses Kiley & Ashley Manetta, nine grandchildren: Cole, Anthony, and Adriana Manetta, Tommy, Shanna and Mike Gorsky, Josh Welker & Gianna Ryndock, Josephine Macaluso; as well as his two sisters and their spouses Diane & R Gregg Helfer, and Cheryl & Ron DiFrancesco. He is also survived by many wonderfully loved nieces and nephews: Rebecca Proietti (Jason), Mary Beth Mammano (James), Chad Rieflin (Jennifer), Sarah-Renée Helfer, Alicia Wonsey (Phillip), and Jonathan Manetta.

Thinking of younger days and growing up with my cousins. Rick was closest in age to me. My mom took care of him when we were both infants. It’s hard losing someone you felt so close too. My condolences to Rick’s children, grandchildren and siblings and my eternal love ? Cousin Jeanne
I am so sorry for your loss.
