Fairport- Jean Mitchell (Van De Voorde) June 30, 2023 at age 80. Jean passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia with her children by her side. She resided in Fairport for most of her life and drove Fairport school bus for over 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially during the holidays and celebrations.
Survived by Brother, Gary VanDeVoorde, children; Barbara Mitchell Wood and Mark Mitchell, grandchildren; Morgan, Jamie, Stacie, and Stephanie, 6 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, bonus children, bonus grand/great-grand children, and life long friends. As you know, Jean loved you all.
Special thank you to all our “assistants” as Mom called them, that provided such great loving care for Jean just like she was family.

Although I was not present the last 6 years, you were always in my prayers. I will forever remember the 40 or more years we spent together. God bless a special Lady who touched the hearts of many.
I went to school with Jean. She was kind and gentle person and was always smiling. She will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her. Rest in Peace, Jean.
