Joan L Morrison passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026 at the age of 90.
Joan was born in Grand Rapids, MI on March 20, 1936 and was the younger of two daughters to Harrison and Leona Usborne.
After high school Joan went on to earn her Registered Nursing degree. Over the years she served at several hospitals in Michigan, Texas, and New York. Her final Nursing stop was at Rochester General Hospital where she was a profusionist and eventually lead profusionist on the heart team for many years.
Joan did take some time away from her nursing in the 1970s when she was involved with the Bristol Mountain ski team. She was also part owner of the Buckle Boot Ski Shop in Victor, NY during this time.
Joans greatest pleasure was her love of dogs. She spent many years raising and showing both Doberman Pinschers and later Shar Peis.
Joan is survived by her sister, Bonnie Crawford and several nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband Robert Morrison and her son Jeffery Morrison.
Joan was a loving mother, aunt and sister and will be deeply missed.
