Jennifer Lynn Newcomb passed away on January 15, 2025, at the age of 56, after a long battle with multiple illnesses. Born on September 26, 1968, in Cleveland, Ohio, Jennifer is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 30 years, Michael F. Newcomb II; her adored children Trey (Lexi), Emily, Katherine and Max Newcomb; her parents Kathleen and Tony Nowak; sister Susan Prosperi; mother-in-law Lorraine Newcomb; sister-in-law Amy Newcomb Parella (Mike); and too many nieces and nephews and cousins to count!
Jennifer grew up in Fairport, New York, before embarking on an adventure that started in New York City, and continued California, Las Vegas, New Jersey and then Connecticut, eventually settling for for the last 10 years back home in Hemlock, NY on a farm that Jennifer insisted Michael purchase. Jennifer was equally comfortable in a suit and heels addressing executives and attorneys in Manhattan as wearing coveralls and boots, tending to her fairy tale gardens or feeding her chickens in Connecticut and on the farm. She was as comfortable in front of the camera as she was behind it and was often spotted with a huge lens at every sporting event, dance recital, and graduation for her children. She had an eye for angles, lighting, and backgrounds turning her many pictures and collections of trinkets, tokens, and keys becoming a nationally recognized and award winning Scrapbooker.
Jennifer loved her animals, especially her dogs and cats, and came home with more than few strays who never left. How lucky they were. She had a penchant nurturing all things from the smallest frog to ladybugs and birds to other children that needed help, guidance, the shirt off her back, or just a snack or a meal. Her home in Connecticut was affectionately known as the “Suck” house, because when you got near it her boundless energy, personality, and larger-than-life aura “sucked” you into the vortex. Anyone who came to know her, loved her and that love was returned tenfold. Her greatest accomplishment and source of unending devotion and pride was her family. Her four children were the light of her life, a tremendous source of pride and joy, in her words, the reason she was put on this Earth. Jennifer fought to bring everyone of them into this world, raise them, and stay with them for as long as she could. Her light, sparkle, and aura will spread through them, bringing goodness to all they meet and touch, just as she did.
Our new guardian angel is now reunited with her beloved father-in-law Michael F. Newcomb, Uncle Matt Bykowski, Aunt Mary O’Dell, and her grandparents, watching over and protecting all who loved them.
Calling Hours Wednesday January 22, 2025 4-7PM at the Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home (Egypt Location) 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Road, Fairport. In lieu of flowers the Family asks that you make a donation to the American Heart Association, Tunnels2Towers or simply plant a tree in Jennifer’s Memory.

What an incredible tribute! A life well lived, although too short. I only knew Jenn because you were neighbors with my sister in CT for many years. The times I did ‘experience’ her were remembered with her being full of joy and a huge, giving heart. I love that I now get to live in your home in CT and am getting to share her vision for her gardens and home here. Praying for comfort and peace as you, Mike and your kids and family maneuver through life without her. It will be hard but you have so many wonderful memories to keep alive.
Thinking and praying for you and your family Karen. Love you! Lisa and Sarah Burkovich ❤️
I never had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer but feel as I if I know her now. Mike, I hope you and your family can draw on the reservoir of memories to get through the early days and beyond without Jennifer physically with you. I’m sure everyone who knew Jennifer was lucky and have to believe that those closest to her were jackpot winners!
My sincere condolences.
My sincere condolences on the untimely passing of your beautiful wife and loving mother. She had a warm and wonderful way about her and I thoroughly enjoyed my encounters with her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
I’ll miss you Jen. Haven’t talked to you in sometime but you were one of my favorites. My prayers to you your family and friends.
Deepest sympathy for the Newcomb family. Having taught three of her four children in second grade, I came to know and love the kindness, generosity and devotion to her family that was first and foremost in her heart. May the beautiful memories she created bring you peace.
Thank you for shining so much light and joy into my life as a child. I will forever remember you and your warm heart, your fun nature, and how loving you were to your children and their friends. Praying for healing, love and comfort, for all of you, Emily, max, Kate, trey, and dad. Thank you Emily for being my childhood best friend, I love you forever, miss you, and think about you often.
