Patricia “Patsy” Marie McFarland O’Hara, aged 91, passed
away in her sleep on March 28, 2021.
She was born February 28, 1930 in Philadelphia, PA, the fifth child of Peter J. McFarland and Winifred C. Littley McFarland. In 1948 she graduated from Villa Maria Academy in Malvern, Pennsylvania. Predeceased by her parents and siblings Josephine, Peter, Jerry, and Jimmy. All of whom served in the military. She enjoyed her weekly zoom time wither children and several nieces and nephews. She has surviving cousins in the USA and Scotland with whom she corresponded with quite frequently. While growing up she loved the family visits to the Jersey Shore and Providence, RI.
In 1949 she married her high school sweetheart and soulmate,
Francis X. O’Hara. They were married 68 years before he passed away in
September 2018. (https://pawnandjewelry.com) They are survived by six children, Michael (Roberta) of CT,
Patti (David) Peck of FL, Kathy (Dale) McFiggens of Hammondsport, NY, Frank
(Karen) of TN, Eileen (Dan) Askey of Rochester, NY, Dan of SC. Survived by 11 Grandchildren and 17
Great-Grandchildren.
Ultimately they arrived in Fairport, NY due to a job for
Frank with Xerox in 1964 that had them moving frequently to CT, PA (several
different areas) and NY.
She enjoyed to travel, counted cross stitch and crafts, word
and crossword puzzles, picture puzzles, and cooking for her family and family
gatherings at holiday times.
A mass will be held on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 11:15 am at The Church of the Assumption Catholic Church on East St, Fairport NY. Viewing is at the church prior to the mass which is open to the public at 10:50am. Those unable to attend personally can view the proceedings through live streaming at https://cota.church/livestream
Internment at White Haven Cemetery in Pittsford where she
will once again join the love of her life.
