William(Bill) E. Parsons, 85, of Penfield, NY, passed away suddenly December 6, 2022.
Bill was born on May 31, 1937 in Hudson, NY and is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Lillian Parsons, son, Thomas and son-in-law Kirk. He is survived by his wife Carole, four children Christopher (Teresa), Daniel (Zena), Amy (John) Cassidy, Kathleen Nelson, and eight grandchildren, Jessica, Daniel, Anne, Alexa, Meghan, Liam, Thomas, and Brady.
A graduate of Roe-Jan High School, Hillsdale, NY in 1955, Bill went on to study at Niagara University where he graduated ROTC in 1959 and continued service in Army Intelligence in Washington, D.C. and Germany.
Bill went on to start his career at Stromburg Carlson, where he met his wife of 58 years, Carole, ultimately ending up in Fairport, NY where they raised their wonderful family of 5 children and 8 grandchildren.
Bill enjoyed golf, playing cards, reading, sports, happy hour and visiting with friends. He was a kind, compassionate, loving man. Anyone that knew him, loved him.
Calling Hours will be Dec 15, 2022 4pm – 6pm at Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home, 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Road Fairport, NY 14450. Funeral mass will be held at St. John of Rochester, Fairport, NY at 11am Dec 16, 2022.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Niagara University or Blessed Sacrament Supper Program.

Uncle Bill! I so admired him. A great man, husband to my beautiful Aunt Carole, and a wonderful father. He was in my will to be the guardian of my children if anything happened to me. A mentor to many I would imagine! Just saw him in Oct 2022 and so glad I had that opportunity. He is loved and missed by many!
Uncle Bill was a wonderful man! He was funny, kind and caring! You can tell the quality of a man by the children he raised. What a wonderful family, a fine legacy of an amazing husband. The kind of father, friend and husband all would truly aspire to be or want in life. He will be very missed by all, ❤️
Bill Parsons was a quiet, observant man, and you knew he loved his family. Bill and Carole raised great kids; Christopher, Danny, Amy, and Kathleen, and had a lot of grandchildren, who are equally well raised. We may have lived many miles apart but I remember him well. Larry and I have you in our prayers , To All of the Parson Family, our condolences and love.
Bill and I met under the saddest of circumstances in October 1997. Wonderful man, wonderful family, wonderful part of our community. Carole and family, we mourn your loss of a great one.

Bill was a great neighbor and a good friend. We were lucky to be neighbors on South Ridge Trail and our kids all grew up together. We want to express our deepest sympathy to Carole and her family’s loss. Bill’s intelligent wit, kindness and good humor made our neighborhood and the whole world a better place. After we moved south in 1987, we did manage to visit with Bill and Carol quite a few times but not nearly enough.
Bill and I met in 1955 when we became college freshman. His continual close contact and friendship ever since has been a life’s treasure for me. Can’t adequately describe the loss all of us who have shared a life with Bill feel.
I have very fond memories of my cousin Bill and his family. Sending my love and condolences to Carole and his family and friends. May he Rest In Peace god Bless

The Parsons family lived next door to us in Jacksonville IL, and our 3 kids and their 4 had a good time playing in the backyard. Those were beautiful and memorable days. Our deepest sympathy Carol and family.. You are always in our hearts.
I met Bill when i was 17 on the 1 st day of my college career at Niagara and he and then Carole have been my dear and close friends for all theses years. My heart is broken for the loss of a fabulous human being who made the world a better place with his presence . He wax a great husband , father and friend who will be do sadly missed by all who knew him. My prayers for strength for his devoted family. May God Bless my friend Bill
As old South Ridge Trail neighbors we are long time friends. We enjoyed raising our kids together and many inspirational card games. Bill was my favorite golf partner. We will truly miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with Carol and the family.

I was so saddened hearing of his passing, He and I shared different personalities( his the one I would have preferred to mine).
The years I had the pleasure of knowing him, were.very meaningful to me. He had a knack of letting me know when I should tune it down without making it sound like a lecture; God knows I needed it at times especially when we on our weekly golf outings.
He was always the “Gentleman.”
I will miss him but know he is with The Boys in heaven.

So sad to hear of Bill’s passing. I worked for him at PLP. He was the best boss and mentor I ever had. He was always such a gentleman and classy guy. It was a joy and honor to have known him. My deepest sympathy to the Parsons family.
