Brighton – Thomas L (Tommy) Pisano, age 105 1/2, passed away on July 20, 2019.

Tom was born in Rochester, NY to Carmelo and Mary Pisano on December 12, 1913. He graduated from Franklin High school in 1932 where he was an accomplished athlete; wrestling, playing baseball, cross country, and serving as Captain of the track team, where in his time was one of the fastest milers in the county. He was a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, serving during WWII. After serving, he owned his own gas station, then worked at Doyle Automotive, Monroe Auto Sales, Genesee Brewery, and Farrel Corporation where he retired in 1980. After retirement, he worked over 22 years delivering medical equipment for Rochester Technical Group to keep busy.

Tom had been an avid bowler his whole life, bowling 4-5 times per week on two leagues at AMF Empire Lanes in Webster until recently. His all-time highest game was 298. He won the Slim Brunson MVP award twice and competed in many tournaments around the country. He loved playing poker with the boys after bowling. He also enjoyed reading western and mystery novels, playing golf, and watching most sports. His favorite teams were the Bills, Notre Dame, Orioles, Red Wings, and was a Tiger Woods fan.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Rose, of 76 years; his two daughters, Sharon Janes, and Corinne (Bob) Rider; his sister, Elvira Pisano; his four grandchildren, Theresa (Greg) Hays, Janice (Brian) Hopkins, Diane (Bill) MacCowan, and Scott (Leslie) Irwin as well as 13 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, dear friends, and bowling buddies. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carmelo and Mary Pisano, and his brothers and sister.
