Maria Grace Platten went home to Jesus on May 10th at the age of 32.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather Robert Miller and grandmother Judy Platten. Maria is survived by her mother Anne Louise Platten, her father Thomas Platten, her sisters Christina (Bu), Louisa, and Anita Platten, niece Rebecca, nephews Noah and Samuel, grandmother Madeline Miller, grandfather Ronald Platten, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Maria was a loving, fun-loving, giving, daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, niece and cousin.
She enjoyed music, shopping, cooking, baking, travel and making her family laugh.
Her favorite Bible verse was Psalm 34:18: “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted
and saves the crushed in spirit.”
Maria will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. We take comfort knowing she is now at peace in the presence of Jesus.
A celebration of Maria’s life will be held on Saturday, May 17th at 2:00 pm at Cross Creek Church, 3700 State Route 31, Palmyra, NY 14522.

Maria’s biological father Tom Platten is a good friend of mine. I met Maria on several occasions last summer, she and her father Tom and myself saw several movies. My condolences go out to Tom and the Platten family. May God bless and comfort you all at this time.

Maria!!! I always thought you were so smart and i felt so terrible about Aaron’s death but now you? I know your at peace now and I feel so sad for your family. Im so sorry I didn’t know you passed!
