Josephine C. (Manuse) Pullara passed away peacefully on October 18, 2020 at the age of 102. She was an example of strength, courage, and love throughout her long life. She is remembered for her devotion to family and commitment to hard work—both in and outside the home. Each day before leaving for her bus ride to work at the YMCA and later at Kodak, she made sure her family was well cared for and fed.
A number of hobbies and interests kept Josephine in constant motion. She loved to cook sauce and bake cookies. She was always happy to share her skills in the kitchen with her family and friends. When not cooking or baking, she could be found sewing, which she learned at an early age from her mother. Her family cherished her gifts of handmade blankets and even today many of her blankets fill her families’ homes with the warmth of her love. In addition to cooking and sewing, she was an avid bowler and gardener.
Josephine is predeceased by her husband of 67 years James J. Pullara. She is survived by: her sister, Clara (Manuse) Antonucci, her sons James P. Pullara (Sherry) and Stephen Pullara (Eileen). Three grandchildren: Kimberly (T.J.) Fennelly, Jennifer (Philippe) Blancato and Carl John Pullara. Additionally, she is survived by three great-.grandchildren: Aidan and Brenna Fennelly and Francisco Blancato.
Funeral Mass Wednesday 1PM at Church of the Holy Spirit 1355 Hatch Road, Webster.

“Mom” was my mother-in-law for 47 years and was a wonderful caring person who enriched our lives so much. She welcomed me into the family and our relationship grew throughout the years. She was loving and caring and generous with her time. She was an excellent cook and baker and she taught me how to make sauce and lasagna in the early years. I loved all the cookies she would make and send to our home. I enjoyed my time visiting her and will cherish all the memories of her and hold a special place in my heart forever.
I am so sorry for your loss. May your memories remain forever in your hearts.
