You will be missed Cindy! We all loved you and your spirit. May you rest in peace while jamming to U2!
I will forever hold the memories of playing soccer and softball with Cindy. She was always quick with a smile and a laugh on top of being an excellent athlete. My thoughts and prayers are with you all in this sad time.
I’m so sorry to hear of Cindy’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. I was Cindy’s catcher for a couple of year’s on Sutherland’s softball team and a soccer teammate. When I think of Cindy, I think of a ready smile, a fierce competitor, and someone who lived her life to the fullest. Cindy will always be one of the most extraordinary natural athletes I’ve ever known.

I first met Cindy at the JCC; she joined our co-ed floor hockey league. I knew she was a gamer, even at age 8 or 9, when she showed up with hockey gloves and her own stick! To say the least, she gave the boys (and other girls) fits, as she totally excelled against lots of older kids. I believe she actually went with me and a few other kids to Ithaca one time for a Cornell sporting event. I am totally saddened to hear of her passing, and if I were in town this weekend I would certainly be at the calling hours. May she rest and peace, and may her family be comforted, today and always.
So sorry to hear the news of Cindy. I was her sixth grade teacher and have nothing but wonderful memories of her. I fondly remember her determination, easy-going manner, quick wit and, of course, outstanding athletic ability. Cindy was one of those students you never forget (for all the good reasons!).
My condolences to family and also to Mike McKenna, her best friend and roommate, who took such good care of her.
