Fairport – Mary passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, May 14, 2020.  She was predeceased by her parents, Virginia and Sylvester Mustardo, sisters Josephine, Nicolina and Edith, and brother Alfred.  She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her husband of 69 years, Antonio, daughter, Doreen (Joseph) MacDonough, son, Thomas (Jean) Rizzo, PhD, grandchildren, Lauren MacDonough, Dr. Alicia Rizzo, Michael (Jessica) Rizzo, PhD, and Sean MacDonough,  sister, Katherine (Anthony) Bingo and sister-in-law, Geraldine Brownlee.  She is also survived by many loving and devoted nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mary enjoyed a wonderful life filled with family and friends.  She worked for many years for the Rochester Board of Education and the Rush Henrietta CSD.  She enjoyed traveling around the world and country, especially to St. Louis Cardinal baseball games!

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make contributions to St Jude’s Childrens Hospital or a favorite charity in her memory.

    I have wonderful memories of Mary. I spent much time as a kindergarten teacher at Volmer School sitting and talking to Mary in the office after classes. She was my mentor for many life situations at that early phase of professional development and social interactions. A second advice mom. Never forgot those good times.
