Peacefully entered into rest on August 23, 2021 at age 90. Predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Adelbert E. “Sonny” Robinson, her brother Henry Goodlein Jr., and sister Rita Hargis. Survived by her children, Barbara Jacques of Manchester, Larry Robinson of Walworth, John (Terrie) Robinson of Waterloo, Ginny (Dan) Murn of Fairport; grandchildren, Jarrod, Kenny, Joe, Nic and Janine; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Emily, Lucie, Sophie; 2 step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Marlene spent seventy years at the same home where she raised her family with Sonny. Gardening, fishing, and antiquing were all things Marlene loved to do over the years. She enjoyed watching the birds in the woods around her house and making an occasional trek to the Birdsong Trail at Mendon Ponds Park where she had chickadees eating out of her hand. During many summer vacations at Black Lake and Long Lake, she would catch the bass, pike, and bullhead and fillet them (like no one else) to be ready for dinner that night. Marlene was also as an avid amateur genealogist researching her family heritage and had belonged to the Perinton Historical Society. Marlene especially enjoyed reading the Arch Merrill books about Rochester and Upstate New York history…she had them all!
Calling Hours, Sunday, August 29, 12-2 PM at Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home (Egypt location), 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Road, Fairport. A Private Graveside Service for immediate family will be held the next day, Monday. Donations in her memory may be made to the Perinton Historical Society
