Dianne M. (Vanderwall) Ryder

Dianne M. (Vanderwall) Ryder, 84, passed away on May 23, 2024, in Webster, NY. She was born on May 25, 1939, in Fairport, NY. Dianne was known for her friendly nature, quick smile, hardworking spirit, independence, and love for her family.

She was a business owner early in her career (Dianne’s Coiffure Palace in Macedon, Red Creek, and Sodus) also working in other salons (Heads Up/ Perinton, Rose’s/ Penfield, and Lanza’s/ Penfield). A hairstylist by profession throughout her life, she continued to provide service to her clients at her home until this past year. Dianne’s hobbies included quilting, painting, flower arranging, gardening, euchre, casinos, horse racing, dancing, and vacationing in Florida. Dianne was a versatile individual who enjoyed trying her hand at various activities.

Dianne is survived by her husband, Robert Ryder; children Cheryl and Peter Jr. (Joni); stepchildren Kara (Michael) and Todd; grandchildren Josh (Karla), Dominique (Robert), Peter III, Tonya, and Misty, step grandchildren Sam, and Matilda;15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister Rebecca; brother William; sisters-in-law Cheryl (Curtis) and Donna; brother-in-law Dennis (Jeannette); and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Marlene, granddaughters Rachel and Teressa, sister Nancy, brother Thomas, parents Lloyd and Florence.

Calling hours will be held at Keenan’s Funeral Home in the Village of Fairport location on Monday, June 3, 2024, from 5-7 pm.
