Shaulinski, Thomas Sr.

Thomas  “Tom” Shaulinski, 80, of Fairport NY passed peacefully at home on Monday, June 22nd.  Tom was born and raised in Mt Carmel, Pa, and predeceased by his parents, Jeanette and Peter Shaulinski.  Tom is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Linda (Katzman) Shaulinski, their two children; Tom Jr. (Sindee), and Shelly, brother; Peter Shaulinski (Dolores), 3 grandchildren; Jared Madlin, Taylor Madlin, Jayne Madlin (Justin Singer), Niece; Jennifer Kendall (John), Nephew; Peter Shaulinski (Linda) and several grand nieces and nephews.

Tom graduated from Mount Carmel Catholic High School in Mt Carmel, PA, and earned a B.S. in Pharmacy from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science.  He began his career as a pharmacist in the central PA area before becoming a pharmaceutical sales rep. In 1973, he relocated to Fairport NY with his family as a District Sales Manager, having a very successful career with Ciba-Geigy, with 29 years of dedicated, award winning service. In semi-retirement, he worked as a Pharmacist for Tops in Perinton. He and Linda relocated to Hilton Head Island in 2002, where he continued with retail pharmacy work before fully retiring in 2014.

Dad, aka “Pops”, aka “Buddy” was an avid golfer and sports fan of the Phillies and Eagles.  He had a special love for baseball having played in college. He was a member at Midvale Country Club in Penfield, and Palmetto Hall in Hilton Head. He loved playing golf several times a week with his guy groups as well as with family when in town.

Tom was passionate about his family as a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather. He was known for his kindness, sense of humor, and willingness to help anyone at any time. The world was a better place with him in it. He attended every activity involving his kids from childhood through college; from Tom’s swim meets/baseball games, to Shelly’s horseshow competitions.

Calling Hours will be held Thursday, June 25, 2020 11AM-2PM at the Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home (Egypt Location) 7501 Pittsford, Palmyra Rd., Fairport. Graveside service to follow 3PM at White Haven Memorial Park.

Linda, Tom, Shelly, Peter, Dee and family; Tom and all of you were a major force in my life and certainly Tom changed my direction. There is not enough room here to appropriately convey all his qualities and how much he gave of himself. Of course Tom will be missed but always remembered and there is so much to fill heart and mind. There are so many pictures to cherish. You are blessed by having had such a wonderful life together and I send you profound condolence and serenity.
