With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our daughter, Sophia Dawn Sortino, who left this world peacefully on March 22nd, 2025 at just 11 days old. Though Sophia was with us for only a short time, the love and joy she brought into our lives will never be forgotten. Her sweet presence, gentle spirit, and tiny hands left an imprint on the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of meeting her.
Born on March 11th, 2025, Sophia was the beloved daughter of Cortney and Nicole Sortino. While her time with us was brief, her impact on our lives was profound.
Sophia is survived by her parents, Cortney and Nicole Sortino; four legged sister, Callie; grandparents, Cathy and Joe Scumaci, Todd Sortino, and Dan Richards; aunts/uncles, Samantha (Aaron) Youngman, Brian Sortino, and Abby Richards; and cousins, Carter, Cameron, and Charlie Youngman. Predeceased by her grandmother, Dawn Richards.
A service will be held for family and friends on Tuesday, April 1st at 11am at the All Seasons chapel in White Haven Memorial Park, where we will gather to honor and remember our precious little one. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Golisano Children’s Hospital’s NICU in memory of Sophia or donating blood to the American Red Cross.
We will forever carry the memory of Sophia in our hearts and hold her close in our thoughts, until the day we meet again.
