Tracie M. (Swackhamer) Stants, 40, passed away unexpectedly on July 4, 2026.
Born in Rochester, New York, she was raised in Dalton, New York and Fairport, New York. Tracie found joy in life's beauty. She had a love for butterflies, enjoyed photography, as well as playing card games. She was also known for her fascination with crime documentaries and ghost-hunting shows, interests that often brought curiosity and conversation with those around her.
Above all, Tracie loved her family. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Victoria Stants and son, Alex Stants. As well as her parents, Alan Swackhamer and Robin Schrom. Her stepmother, Barbara Swackhamer. Her sister, Trisha Leroy. Her brother-in-law, Jon Leroy, and nephew, Evan Leroy. As well as many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory forever. Though her journey ended too soon, Tracie's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her family find comfort in the memories they share and in the love that remains.

Tracie was one of my bestfriends growing up, we have so many memories together. We grew apart as we got older and started our families, we would reach out to one another here and there, wish we didn’t grow apart. Tracie was so kind, loving and a great friend. The pictures posted of her on here bring me to tears, brings back so many fun times. Definitely miss her! I looked up to her in so many ways! I hope she is at peace. To the family and her children, you are in my prayers and thoughts. She will definitely be missed by so many.

My sincere condolences. Tracie, you mom had tremendous pride in her children. She took an interest in the science you both were interested in. I remember when we were studying birds, and the ocean, she got so excited when you shared your reports with her. I think you all loved animals and the ocean. You were each so good to her. She knew she was loved, and she sure liked knowing that. I am glad I got to know Tracie…and each of you. Thank you for staying in touch.
