Stolt, Jacqueline M.

Jacqueline M. Stolt of Fairport passed away peacefully on January 6, 2022 of complications from Multiple Myeloma at the age of 72. She was born on December 12, 1949 in Webster to Martin and Jean (Seidewand) Kronson.

She is survived by her three sons Christopher (Sharon), Michael (Grace), and Perry (Jennifer) Stolt,  and her five grandchildren Aryanna, Ethan, Hayden, Lucas, and Orion.

Jackie is predeceased by her parents Martin and Jean, her husband Perry L. Stolt, and her brother James Kronson.

Jackie enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, who lovingly called her Nana. She hiked the Crescent trail in Fairport, enjoyed swimming, basketmaking, knitting, and sewing. She spent countless hours baking with her granddaughter, Ary.

Early in her career she worked as a nurse at Genesee hospital, Camp Stella Maris, and the Baptist Home. Later she found her calling as an educator, teaching underprivileged nursing students in SUNY Brockport’s EOC program. Her passion as a caretaker and educator stayed with her through the rest of her life, caring for her mother and brother, and assisting nursing students through the last weeks of her life.

Jackie loved to travel with friends and in recent years had visited Alaska, New Zealand, and Europe. She loved telling stories about her grandchildren around the campfire at Red Jacket Yacht Club.

Jackie was a proud sorority of the Beta Chi Chi chapter of  Chi Eta Phi and her swimming group called The Mermaids.

A mass will be held in Jackie’s honor at St. John’s of Rochester on Wednesday, January 12th, 2022 at 10am. The mass will be live streamed for those wishing to attend remotely https://www.stjohnfairport.org. A larger in-person Celebration of Life event will be held this summer in the Perinton area in July, and the family hopes that all who knew Jackie will attend.

In lieu of sending flowers we request a donation be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) in Jackie’s honor at https://www.lls.org

My sincere condolences to Pj , Chris & Mike,
Jackie earned her Mermaid’ tail’ over 12 years years ago .She became 1 of 2 of our Mermaid go too’s, for medical questions or concerns and believe me there were many. We learned early on ,never take on a debate with Nurse Jackie & Nurse Margaret ,as you would surely lose! It was more fun , over the years, watching the two of them get into ‘ discussion mode’ . Ha ha ha
We had a lot of good times over the years..hiking the trails in Perinton, water walking and water aerobics at The RAC ..where the Mermaids began. Some of us getting our first boat ride ever ,seven years ago, at Red Jacket Yacht Club aka Jackie’s Camp….summer luncheons following along the years.
In closing..Jackie has traded her ‘Mermaid tail ‘ for Mermaid’ wings’
Fly high , our beloved Mermaid
You our now our first Mermaid Angel
    I will miss you ,terribly
    Renee

I met Jackie at RAC and enjoyed many years as a Mer in our wonderful eclectic group of water buddies sharing exercise, recipes, sewing, tales of grands and kids as well as our weekly coffee at Panera and countless monthly lunches out around Rochester and at the homes of many Mers. I was always impressed with her knowledge and devotion to nursing and her love and joy for her family and friends. We’ve missed much over these past two years. Jackie has been ever present in my prayers and I send my deepest sympathies to her entire familiy.

Jackie was a Red Jacket & swim MER (mermaid) friend for many years. . She came to visit me after my husband died even though she was recovering from her illness and it was deep COVID. I was so comforted by her care and wisdom. Im so grateful that I was able to visit with meals albeit outside her home to keep her safe. She is a great loss to all who knew and loved her.. She is with her beloved husband. She is at peace.

I met Jackie at the water aerobics classes at the Perinton RAC. It wasn’t long before several of us formed the Mermaids, AKA the Mers group. Jackie was an integral part of the group. With her curly hair, twinkling eyes and kind smile she was always there to help one of us. We laughed, we cried, we ate, we laughed, we ate some more and we tried not to get into too much trouble. My grandchildren loved her pizzelle and her risotto was second to none. She took great pride in making people happy. Jackie was so grateful for all the hands on support her “boys” gave her. She would tear up when talking about PJ, Mike and Chris and proudly announced that all her daughters-in-law liked her. Of course her pride and joy was her five grandchildren. Oh how she adored them. She created many memories with them. Hopefully they will be sustained.
Well my dear you fought hard and now it’s time for you to rest. I know that you are safe with Perry. Nothings going to stop you now. Love you.

I became acquainted with Jackie while taking aqua fitness classes at the RAC in Perinton, and got to know her better through the Mermaid group. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother who deeply cherished her family. She enjoyed her time at Red Jacket Yacht Club and cruising around in her Mustang convertible during the sunny summer weather. Jackie will be deeply missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. She is resting in peace with her beloved husband, Perry. God bless her family always.

I worked with Jackie at Rochester School of Practical Nursing before she worked at EOC. She was a wonderful teacher and mentor to all her students. She was always smiling and fun to be around. I have not been in touch with her for many years, but never forgot her smiling face, and caring attitude for everyone she knew. I know she will be missed by all who knew her. My deepest sympathy to all her family and friends.

I met Jackie in the early 1970 ‘s working at Genesee Hospital together. We became life long friends. She was as devoted a friend as she was a wife and .mother. she had my back many times. Even during her own illness, she was a tremendous support to me during my husband’s illness. Love you, my friend. I will miss you terribly.

I will always be grateful to Jackie for taking me to lunch shortly after my husband, Michael Goodness, passed away, teaching me how to be a proud widow. And making valuable suggestions about how to manage camping at RJYC on my own. You will be missed, my smart, caring friend. ❤️

Jackie and I were still working when we met at the RAC. We have enjoyed each other and the other Mermaids as the years have progressed and enjoying retirement. We have had fun times and sad times as a group. Perry, Jackie’s beloved husband, gave us our name and his death was one of our saddest times. Jackie lovingly and with exasperated humor cared for her mother and brother until their passing, During every thing the bright lights in her life always have been her sons and grandchildren. She adored all of them and was happiest after spending time with them. Her positive energy overshadowed her final diagnoses as she had hopes for an extended future. Her memory will always be a part of The Mermaids.

I am Jackie’s cousin. Her father, Marty, was my uncle. I grew up going to Rochester every summer with my family, and I spent quite a lot of time at her family home in Webster. I didn’t have a sister, so she doted over me – taking me to lunch and blow drying my curly hair until it was straight. She would often take me in her Mustang as she made her nursing rounds. Jackie is the reason I became a nurse. I wanted to be just like her. Beautiful and confident. I wish had kept in better contact with her over the years. She sounds
like she lived a wonderful life. My deepest sympathy to her children and grandchildren.

I didn’t know Jackie for as long as so many of her friends. We met at a very low point in our lives….a support group for widows and widowers. Our little group became very close very quickly due to our mutual sadness. As time past we brought joy, trust and compassion to replace loss, despair and heart ache. Jackie was a special component with her smarts, sense of humor and enormous love for her family.. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.

It is with sadness that I learned about Jackie’s passing. My sympathies to her sons, their wives and her beloved grandchildren.
I met Jackie at a bereavement group through Lifetime care. It was a sad time for all of us and we supported each other in our time of need. We all belonged to a club that we never hoped to join and our friendships helped us to heal. Jackie was a dear friend and our resident medical expert!
Rest In Peace Jackie. You are now with your beloved Perry.

Jackie’s service was so meaningful as so much of her serving and loving heart was shared so beautifully. Our MERS group will miss her terribly but have been so enriched by the examples she demonstrated of strength, service, and courage to reach forward. She was so willing to offer wisdom when those in need received her caring words.

Our family was so very sad to learn of Jackie’s recent passing. She and I swapped many tips on mothering as neighbors when our children were young. We were pleased to reconnect briefly last summer at the Rec center. She was a beautiful lady and a good friend. Our condolences to the Stolt family.

  28. I met Jackie through another friend who knew Jackie from the bereavement group at Lifetime Care. I also went to that program years prior. We had a group together that met once a month on a Saturday night, where we enjoyed each others company with food, drinks and playing games. I was so sad to hear of Jackies passing . My last text with her was after she left the left the hospital in December. We will miss Jackie at our get togethers. RIP Jackie. My condolences to her three sons, spouses and grandchildren
