Canandaigua – Age 65, died suddenly July 17, 2019 with his family and friends in the room while he passed. Michael was born February 14, he was a Valentine’s baby and had the biggest heart and had the love of many. Born in Fairport, NY to Perry (DiGiamberardino) Stolt and Mary (Montagliano) Stolt. If you see a Stolt family member around Fairport make sure you ask about how they got the Stolt name.
Mike was predeceased by his parents, his brother, Perry L. Stolt and the loves of his life, his infant daughter, Casey Johanna Stolt, his son, Samuel Leo Stolt and lifelong friend and partner in crime Kevin Carson.
Survived by his wife, Jody (Johnston) Stolt and son, Kyle Lewis Stolt; sister-in-law, Jackie Stolt; nephews, Chris (Sharon) Stolt, Michael (Grace) Stolt, Perry Stolt, Jr. (Jennifer) Stolt; sister, Maria (Paul) Kolb; nieces, Joelle Corsi, Alexandra Corsi and Erika Corsi. His constant shadows his dog “Eli” and “Cosmo” his puppy; many cousins and friends.
Michael served in the United States Air Force in the Vietnam era. He held multiple professional positions throughout his lifetime, including construction work, project manager role for Gorbel. He made the decision to leave the professional work world to care full time for his special son, Sam. He enjoyed family time, trips to Aruba, avid history channel watcher and war related history, cooking for large groups of people and making them eat, watching the Buffalo Bills at the “Lodge”, growing his tomatoes and basil.
Friends and family are welcome to call at the Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home, 7501 Pittsford Palmyra (Egypt Location), Fairport, Monday, July 22, 2019 from 4-7 PM. Michael’s Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 11:15 AM at Church of the Assumption, Fairport. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Mike’s son, Samuel L. Stolt to Daystar for Medically Fragile Children, 700 Lac DeVille Blvd., Rochester, NY 14618.

This truly breaks my heart. Mike was as such a positive force of life, his smile was contagious. He and Jody were such wond err rful parents to Kyle and Sammy. A light has surely gone put in this world. I pray you are in peace and pain free now. Give that Sammy a big kiss for me!
We loved spending time with Mike & Jody. Mike always made you laugh & genuinely cared about you. He had a beautiful spirit and made everyone feel welcome. He will truly be missed. We love you Mike. Marcy & Brian
