Tibbits, Earl Arthur

Earl Arthur Tibbits, Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), died peacefully on March 22, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Ilion, NY on May 30, 1938 to Clarence and Arlene Van Alstine Tibbits, he graduated from Ilion High School. At graduation Earl received the Lever Cup for Outstanding Athletic and Scholastic achievements. Earl attended Colgate University. With an insurance career spanning 35 years, Earl was a former Vice President of the Utica Fire Insurance Company. He was an accomplished pianist and had played the piano professionally at Lake George, NY.

Earl is survived by his loving wife, the former Patricia Stilwell and 5 children, Valerie (Bernard) Radzisz, Stephen (Lorrie), Lt. Colonel, Ret. Ed.D, Jeffrey (Oraphin), Jennifer (Darryl) Conover and Lynda ( Troy) Boden, 10 grandchildren, Adam (Colleen Flanagan), Stephen, Meghan, Thomas, Matthew, Geoffrey, Courtney (Thomas), Brianna (John) Belle and Big, and 3 great grandchildren, Noah, Aubrey and Bentley. brother Donald (Sue)

Calling hours Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 12:00-2:00PM at The Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home, 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Road, Fairport, NY. Where a memorial service will follow.

    Uncle Earl, I remember as a child spending time with Valerie any your family and listening to you play the piano, and then again at Brant Lake. My sincere condolences are with Aunt Pat and my cousins at this time. I am sure you are embraced by my parents, and will forever be in my memories. Fly high with the Angel’s.

    Pat I’m so sorry about Earl’s passing. You had many wonderful years with him starting way back in High School in Ilion where you were Prom king and queen. We all thought the world of both of you. Thinking of you and sending prayers my sweet friend!
