Dolores Mary (Deisenroth) Weider, age 88, passed away peacefully at home on June 14, 2020.
She is predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, Lawrence Weider, and survived by her five children, son Michael Weider (Chris Beakey), son Lawrence Weider (Nancy), daughter Kathleen Weider Muldermans (Pierre J.) daughter Maryteresa Weider Evenson (Paul), daughter Beth Anne Weider DeCiantis (Frank). Dolores is also survived by six grandsons, Tom, Paul, Andrew, Jonathan (Emily), Austin and Alex, and 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Donna Krupnick (Fred) and brother Kenny Deisenroth (Suzanne) and many nieces and nephews.
Dolores was the oldest daughter of the late Edward and Frances Deisenroth and sister of the late Diane Kilpatrick Vellekoop of Rochester, NY. She went to St. Boniface grammar school and Our Lady of Mercy High School. Dolores graduated as a Registered Nurse from St. Mary’s School of Nursing School in Rochester, NY. She worked at St. Mary’s Hospital for her entire nursing career, primarily in the maternity ward, caring for new mothers and welcoming babies into the world. She kept in touch with her school friends through the years and up until recently she had monthly lunches with them.
As a young girl, she loved to dance, and during her high school years, she often performed in both school and community theatre. It was in this arena that she met her future love of her life during a community performance of “The Student Prince”. She was a lifetime prolific reader, especially of western romances. Dolores and Larry loved to travel and enjoyed being doting grandparents to their grandsons.
It took a village to care for Dolores and to keep her safe and COVID-free. Many thanks to Dolores’ caregivers from Home Instead Senior Care and from Rochester Regional Lifetime Care along with the wonderful staff at Legacy Clover Blossom.
A memorial service will be conducted later for family and friends to celebrate Dolores’ life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Church of St. Jerome, 207 Garfield St, East Rochester, NY 14445 or via their website at https://stjeromerochester.org/.

Dear Michael, Larry,Kathy, Maryteresa, and Beth Anne, It is with deep sadness that I read Aunt Dolores’s death in today’s paper. I am so sorry for all of you.
There are many happy memories of Aunt Dee at “838” She was my Godfather’s sweetheart. Aunt Dolores was my confirmation sponsor.
Please let us know about Aunt Dee’s memorial service. John and I will be there.
Holding your loss in my heart as I do all the fond memories of family life with aunt Dee and uncle. Larry.
Our hearts reach out to yours. Aunt Delores and Uncle Larry’s spirits will live in all the Weiders and so many countless others. I thank my godparents for the memories of laughter over the years and I laugh even harder when I recall stories of the riding mower or Aunt Delores scolding me for failed attempts at shenanigans at the backyard barbecues. (Nobody scolded like Aunt D!) Here’s to her light rejoined with Larry’s.
Michael, Larry, Kathy, Maryteresa, and Beth Anne, I am so sorry for your loss. We hope you find comfort in your memories and in knowing that your Mom and Dad are together again.
Michael, Larry, Kathy, Maryteresa, and Beth Anne my heart is with all of you over the loss of your mother. I have so many found memories of Aunt Delores growing up and her classic response to your dad when he was carrying on with one a his jokes or fish tales- “Oh Larry”.,,. A special memory I have of her was when your mom and dad came over to Fawn Ridge Road for dinner in the summer, for Daniel’s birthday. Barb made “hotdog treats” which was made from spam, Velveetea cheese and green peppers and one of her special birthday cakes. We were all sitting around the picnic table listening to a new song on the radio entitled MacArthur Park. I’m not sure why it is such a special memory to me but when I think of her I think of that one summer night.
Please let us know when you will be holding the memorial service so we can all come together to remember and celebrate her life.
We are sending you love and sympathy during this difficult time. May you find comfort knowing that your mother lived a long and meaningful life.
