Williams, Mark Howard

After a sudden and serious illness, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Howard Williams. He passed away in his home in Marion, NY on October 8th, 2022 at the age of 58 years old.

He was predeceased by parents Howard and Elizabeth Williams, and sister Linda Habecker (Williams).

He is survived by daughters, Jessica (Noah) Newsome and granddaughter Amelia, Lacey (Matthew) Fernaays and grandchildren Natalie, Kaitlin, and Miriam. Siblings Sandy (George) Fine, Debbie (Steve) Minnamon, David (Carrie) Williams, nephews Steven (Brandi) Minnamon, Matthew (Christina) Minnamon, Ryan (Ally) Williams, and niece Abby Williams. Along with many extended family and friends who he held so dearly in his heart. (https://www.sandwauto.com/)

Mark was born November 27, 1963, to parents Howard and Betty Williams (Coon). He grew up in Village of Fairport, NY and spent much of his adult life there also. He was a graduate of Fairport High School. Soon after, he began his career as truck driver in the freight division of Overnight which later became part of UPS where he remained until he retired. He loved nothing more than getting in his pick-up truck and going outside to “see what there was to see” on any given day. When he wasn’t going for a cruise around town you could find him sitting by the Erie Canal with his morning cup of coffee and enjoying scenic views and reminiscing on his joyous memories. He was a passionate motorcycle enthusiast and had a few Harleys he was very proud of. In his later life you could find him pulling up a stool at the Moose Lodge, where he was also a proud Trustee. He loved to play poker and every Thursday he would prepare all day because that night it was “time for the game” with his self-proclaimed brothers he held so dearly in his heart. He was a family man to his core, spending time with loved ones was the most important thing to him. When he became a grandfather that was among one of the most special moments in his entire life. He will always be remembered for his humorous spirit and his straight to the point remarks. He was the shoulder to lean on for so many, the voice of reason when nothing else made sense, and the person you turned to when the going got rough. He will be so dearly missed by all who loved him so much.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 13 at 11:00am at White Haven Memorial Park 210 Marsh Road Pittsford, NY 14534. Meet at gate.

Calling Hours will be held on Sunday October 16 from 12:00-3:00PM at Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home, 7501 Pittsford-Palmyra Road, Fairport, NY 14450.

We will miss you dearly, Mark. You made us laugh from the minute we met you when Noah and Jessica were at Bowling Green. We will make sure that Amelia knows all about her Grandpa Mark and we will be there for Jessica and Noah. I heard the lyrics to a song on the way home from your celebration of life . The lyrics were “keep on trucking”
It will be hard but we will do that in your memory.
