To all of Chuck’s family and close friends:
I would like to send my deepest condolences at this time. Please find comfort in your memories. I was so fortunate to have met and worked with Chuck through the NY State Maple Assoc. Chuck was a wealth of knowledge and we are so fortunate to have had him as our chairman of the Cornell Advisory Comm. So sorry for your loss
Dwayne Hill, Pres, NY State Maple Producers Assoc.
Chuck has been a gracious maple host for my students during the past five years. He knew how to “tap” their knowledge base of sugaring. Chuck always offered them great respect and was excited for their ECO learning opportunity. Every year’s visit was a bit different, but each always had the consistent “presence” of Chuck as a teacher. And he always took the time to share with the kids that he had worked with my dad at Xerox. I will miss him.
We worked together with Chuck for many years at Xerox – on exciting projects. I remembered when Chuck retired from Xerox and was able to live his dream, he went back to college (Cornell), got another degree, and loved being out in nature, the forest, among the trees. A dream come true, he was so happy. I’ll miss our talks and knowledge sharing..

I offer my deepest condolences. Chuck was a very special person. I am glad to have had the chance to meet him, first through NYFOA and later to work with him on the Fiddlers’ Fair. The number of people who would show up to help with the Fiddlers’ Fair and Maple weekends is testimony to how many lives he touched in a positive way. He will be missed by many!
We offer our deepest sympathy to Chuck’s family. We visited Sugarbush again this spring with our grandson. Chuck was his usual gracious self. Not a word of his battle with cancer, no self pity, just the big man doing what he loved. We grew up with Chuck in Salamanca and have been going to Wayland each year to get our supply of maple products. He was a class guy who will be missed.
Our sincere condolences to Chuck’s family. We were in Wayland again this spring to see Chuck and get our fresh supply of maple syrup with our grandson. We knew Chuck was battling cancer , but there was not a word
of what he was going through or self pity. He was his usual positive self and a gracious host. We hiked up the
hill to see the new house; which is breathtaking. We grew up with Chuck in Salamanca and
we all have lost a beautiful man. He will be missed b y all who had the privilege to have known him.
Sincerely, Jack @ Cindy Quinn
Sorry I could not be there with you tonight but please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. I have fond memories of Chuck and always looked forward to seeing him at the Easton reunions. I will always remember his robust spirit and love of family. Rest in peace, dear cousin.
So sorry to hear about Chuck’s passing. Our thoughts are with you now.
My sincere condolences to the family and all the friends of Chuck’s that have lost a wonderful, caring man. Chuck will always be remembered by our family as a person with a great heart and positive attitude. I was fortunate to have worked with Chuck for many years at Xerox.
