Roger “Rog” Lee Wisner, 81, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024 after battling a serious medical condition with courage, strength, and humor.

Roger was born and raised in Rochester, NY. He spent his early adult years in Stuttgart, Germany serving in the United States Army. After an honorable discharge, he enjoyed a 32 year career at Eastman Kodak Company. Roger met the love of his life, SueAnne Wisner, 42 years ago. “Molly” as Roger lovingly called his wife, was his partner in crime, thru thick and thin. His unwavering adoration for her was a gift to the family, even asking her to “run away with him” right up to the very end.

Roger was a proud, loving father to four children: Adria (Stephen) Klein, Colleen (Paul Galens) Campbell, Gwen (Shawn) Ranney and Brian (Carrie) Campbell. As well as a doting grandfather to Tessa Campbell and  Benjamin Ranney and Adam Ranney.

Roger believed in the simple pleasures in life: enjoying a great Scotch with a cigar, riding his lawn tractor, reading, experiencing good food and spending time with his family. He had a smile as bright as the sun, an infectious laugh, and a heart as wide and open as the sea. Roger was loved by many and will be missed. May his memory be for a blessing. Calling hours are Saturday, August 3rd from 1pm-3pm at Keenans Funeral Home, 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Road, Fairport.

The family is asking for donations in lieu of flowers to the 2 organizations that provided significant comfort and care to Roger in the last few weeks of his life.

Dear Mrs Wisner and family. I’m saddened to hear the news of Roger’s passing. We spent many nights together working at Keenan’s. I could always count on him to be there for me when I needed him. Sounds weird but we had a lot of fun together and still tell stories today. I’ll miss you Roger god bless you my friend.

Roger was my golf partner for several year’s! He was very fussy about what cigar we shared and especially the scotch. We once left an establishment that didn’t know what a single malt was! He was a true gentleman!!!!
