Susan J Zrebiec 86 passed away on September 7, 2024 after a long illness.

She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Jennifer Zrebiec Carroll, her parents(Alfred and Marge Welch, and brothers Al Welch and James Welch.  She is survived by her loving husband Donald Zrebiec, who she affectionally called Mike since the first day they met.  Also survived by her daughter Kristina(John) Klahn, son-in-law Jim Carroll and grandchildren Matthew, Anthony, Ryan and Julia Klahn.
Susan attended Onondaga Valley Academy in Syracuse and then Syracuse University, where she received her bachelors of science in education in 1960. She started her teaching career in Baldwinsville teaching fifth grade. From there she taught in the New Providence school system in New Jersey.  Then to Honeoye Falls central schools and finally to Bay Trail in Penfield.  She was an outstanding teacher who could positively motivate her students. She loved the classroom and her students, and they loved her in return.  She enjoyed her summers at Skaneateles Lake, spending time with her family and friends. She was a beautiful lady both inside and out and loved to decorate.  Her beautifully wrapped packages were often thought to be too attractive to open. She lived a full life and was much loved by her family, friends, and students.

There will be a private service for family and friends.

    Mike and Kristina,

I was sad to hear about Susan’s passing. I remember you all fondly, and I think about my friend Jennifer all the time and miss her every day. May God welcome Susan to heaven with open arms and reunite her with Jennifer once again. All my love to you.

Don & family, I’m so sorry you have lost your beautiful Susan. I remember the last time I saw her at Dr. Kyle Judd’s office.
A lovely lady whose smile and presence lit up the room.
May she find peace when Jennifer welcomed her in Heaven.
Many special prayers at this sad time.
