Brenda was such a blessing to all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Prayers and love being sent to all the family.
We never spent that much time together, but my memories of the times we had are lovely. My prayers and love to all.
To the Komerak Family, please accept our sincerest condolences. It’s been over 30 years since we saw Brenda but I still have the fond memories from the early 80’s when our small group of friends would get together at the park to play basketball til dusk, read Erma Bombeck out loud, and watch SNL at my parents house. She was such a nice person and we know she will be missed very much.
We cherish our precious moments of prayers together, forever in our hearts. Praying for Andy and family. Much love
Brenda was such a gentle person. Perfect for Andy. We are sad to know she is gone, praising God for knowing where she is and sending many prayers to those she left behind until you see her again. And you will.
Praying Gods’s richest blessings and great comfort on the family. I grew up with Brenda and she and her family were used by God to lead me to Jesus. I am forever grateful and thankful. I pray that you will know the comfort of our great savior in your time of grieving. He will make all things new!
Our heartfelt condolences to the Komerak and Williams families. Like Kelly and Larry above, we grew up together with Brenda in Wampsville. I remember attending the wedding, August 18, 1984. I remember the date so well because I was married 7 days later. While our lives went separate ways, our memories are strong and positive. . Time does not dim the memory of a light as bright as Brenda. We were all blessed to know her in some way. God Bless each one of you who knew her best.
Andy…I am so sorry o was not able to attend Brenda’s service. I was traveling home today. O think of Brenda and speak of her often. My heart is crushed for you all. I will never forget her, she is part of my fabric. Love to you all.
Andy and kids, our heart is heavy for all of you. We had the joy and blessing of getting to know Brenda so well over the past few years. You are blessed as were we. I am so sad to have to say goodbye to her for now. But we know she went to be with her Lord and Savior, who she was very clear about loving and living for. Her legacy of faith lives on. We will never forget how strong and fierce she was sharing the Word and her faith in Jesus. She definitely brought us closer to Jesus by her witness and faith. It was a joy to be with Brenda and you Andy, all those Sundays with Chip & Jennifer. It was a joy to be her friend, doing Thursday Bible Study, walking the canal many mornings, seeing her smile and her sparkling eyes. We love you Andy, and we will see you went we get back to Rochester. The service could not have been any more beautiful!
I am so heart broken to learn of Brenda’s passing. We grew up together in Wampsville running through Brewer’s corn field, riding bikes around the village, ice-skating on the ponds down Donald Hicks Dew Dr, performing plays in the basement, riding our hoppity hops, building forts and enjoying every minute together with the Wampsville gang. Brenda was kind, intelligent, creative and lots of fun! My heart goes out to Billy and all of Brenda’s family. Anyone who knew Brenda was better for it. May God bless and comfort all who mourn her loss.
We are very saddened to hear of Brenda’s passing, and pray that the Lord provides comfort and peace to her dear family. We will remember her warmth and kindness. Love to you all.
Dear Komerak Family, we cannot undo what it done by the grace of God’s merciful hand. Brenda is among his heavenly family. We can cherish our memories of a life so well lived by Brenda that time can never diminish. Among the others who have recounted childhood memories of growing up in Wampsville, I too was a friend of Brenda’s and Billie’s -the twins as we all referred to them. So many wonderful memories growing up in our sleepy village. All of the adventures we had riding our bikes all over, brown bag lunches on in the woods, naming each place making it our own. The original plays we’d write and perform for the neighborhood, playing Barbie’s and making elaborate towns out of boxes. My favorite memories were our sleepovers in huge boxes with the moon roof (a hole in the top of the box) and talking late into the night., so carefree. I still remember when Brenda shared who she tried to be inconspicuous when she took a 4-person stroller into the mall and we both had a good laugh over that image. Brenda was the kind of friend you dream and hope of having. Kind, compassionate, loving and true blue. I am sending love to all of you who have heavy hearts as I do over Brenda’s passing. Her faith sustained her and so many who knew her and the legacy of Brenda’s faith will sustain us now.
Oh my, Andy – how our hearts break with you. Thank you for sharing this with us. And know that you and your family are in our prayers. May you sense the close presence of our Saviour and trusting that treasured memories will bring smiles to your faces. Brenda was an amazing woman – her ready smile, in the midst of whatever might be going on, was an encouragement. Her faith journey, as she daily walked with God, was/is an inspiration. It has been a privilege to know her and yes, as you said above “her legacy will live on”! Much love to you all, Marion and Eric
