Anastas, Helen

Pittsford: July 21, 2017. Helen passed away peacefully at the age of 94. She is predeceased by her daughter, Sylvia (John A.) Fink; brother, Louis Pines; and sister, Stella Cearley. Helen is survived by her husband of 71 years, Nick; her daughters, Anita (Roger D.) Bollier & Dr. Cynthia J. Anastas (Jon King); her sister, Ann (Leonard) Spector; 6 grandsons; and 4 great-grandchildren. Helen was a homemaker, and dedicated to her 4-generation family. She especially enjoyed cooking, reading, and embroidery, and always praised the value of a college education.
Family and friends may call Monday, July 24, from 2-5 PM at the Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home (Egypt location), 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Rd., where a Trisagion Service will be held at 4:30 PM. A Funeral Service at the Greek Orthodox Church, 962 East Ave., Rochester, will be held Tuesday, July 25 at 10 AM, followed by a Graveside Ceremony at White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s name may be made to The Greek Orthodox Church, Palliative Care at Strong Hospital, or Rochester Ronald McDonald House.
