Fairport – Kathryn M. Barnes (nee Roberts) passed peacefully into eternal life on December 31, 2021, at age 93, following a brief illness and surrounded by loving family. She is survived by children Sue (Jim) Caveny, Rick (Sheila Morris) Barnes, and Jeff (Lisa) Barnes; grandchildren Shaun (Liz) Caveny, Eric (Tracy) Caveny, Will and Maggie Barnes, Taylor (Ellyn) and Anna Barnes; and seven great-grandchildren. The service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Rochester Christian Reformed Church 2750 Atlantic Ave., Penfield, NY.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Rochester Youth For Christ, 1 Favor Street, Rochester, NY 14608. https://yfcrochester.org/

Kay was a member of my Sunday School Class and,later, a member of our Bbible Study. Her comments were few but always thoughtful and incitefull. She was a good friend to my wife and I and we will miss her.
Kay and Bill were very dear friends, and such an encouragement to us. While we were at Penfield Wesleyan, they loved on us and our kids. In fact, our oldest son took his first steps at their home. They faithfully prayed for us and partnered with us while we served in Germany and Czech, and when we returned to Czech a few years ago. It was a joy to see them when we were in the area! May God bless each of you. You have a wonderful heritage!
